Well-paying jobs to afford it? I picked up a copy of the book for $13 – pizza money, basically. I'm not rich, but it didn't exactly break me.

I enjoyed the book. As fas as selling out goes, this is what happens when the rest of the world finds out money can be made from a genre of music that has not been completely tapped out. Yeah, we all have material possessions but that is part of life. Much of my writing deals with the past as well as the present. Yes, I am starting to see money for my work. If that makes me a sell out, too fucking bad. I like to have money to pay my bills and enjoy life. I don't reaaly care if people think this is selling out. In short, it's my pen, my pad of paper and my mind. Therefore, I'll do as I please. Yeah, I like cash. Jack the book is is great, just plug your ears to those who complain. After all, opinions are like your rear end: Everybody has one and we all think ours smells like a bed of roses...Did I mention I still like to piss people off!

I heard the interview on KQED Forum. I must be getting old, publishers think punk rock will sell books, since we have sold out and have well-paying jobs, we can afford to buy your book.

I started looking at the book at the bookstore and once i saw the chapter on Barrington Hall, I had to buy it. Maybe will buy copies for old punk friends?

I was not sure what I expected after the phone interview with Jack and Silke 2 years ago. I thought hmmm... let's see what comes out of this... another fanzine type rag.....maybe a small kinko's printed book. I almost hit the floor when when I opened the unexpected Fedex package and pulled out the book. This thing is a masterpiece! Jack and Silke, I lift my glass high to you both for the time and hard work you have put into this important project. I am honored to be a part of it.
